The Michigan Environmental Justice Coalition and Sugar Law Center have partnered to provide utility clinics to help Detroiters avoid gas and electric shutoffs, especially during the winter months. The clinics provide information for self-advocacy and free legal advfor people in the shut off process.

Don't allow agencies make copies of your personal data!
Community Action and Government Agencies will make copies of your personal data if you do not provide digital versions yourself. Copies of your personal data often ends up in a pile in the copier room for anyone to see (or take).

Safeguard your personal data with our Safe Storage solution. We will digitize your documents onto a credit card size USB drive. This allows your data to bypass the agency computer to upload your documents into the database.

Additionally, you will have copies of all your important paperwork in it's original format. No more Deeds on two pages or too small to read on one page.

This service is available for free at any We Want Green Too event or $10 at a meet up location. Other local events will be added soon. Check the event calendar often for the next event.
